Wellness product statement

Mormaii+Saúde is the companion app for Mormaii wellness wearables - a ring and a bracelet. This page states, in English, what the product is and is not, and where each statement appears inside the app. Published by LVA Health LTDA.

What this product is not

It is not a medical device, and it is not sold or described as one.
It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition.
It gives no medical advice and makes no accuracy claim.
The accessories hold no medical device clearance, and none is claimed.

What the app does

It receives, displays and stores what the accessory recorded over the day and the night.
It performs no measurement of its own. The phone's own sensors are not used to measure any health value.
It describes only where a reading falls relative to a reference range - "below the typical range", "above the typical range" - and never names a medical condition. Two metrics are shown with no range at all, because no universal reference exists for them.
Values are presented as personal estimates, without clinical accuracy.

Where the app says this

Six places, all of them user-facing. The Portuguese wording is the original shown on screen; the English is a translation for reference.

2. Permanent footer on every screen that shows a reading - Home, Health, each metric detail, Sleep, Women's health and Profile.	"Legal notice: this app is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis, treatment or prevention of diseases. The information is for wellness and personal use only." Original: "Aviso Legal: este aplicativo não é um dispositivo médico e não fornece diagnóstico, tratamento ou prevenção de doenças. As informações são apenas para bem-estar e uso pessoal."
3. Terms of Use, section 4, accepted at sign-up and readable at any time in the app.	"The devices and the app have no diagnostic or therapeutic purpose." Original: "Os dispositivos e o aplicativo não têm finalidade diagnóstica ou terapêutica."
4. Liability Limitation Term - Non-Medical Use, a document of its own, section 1.	"The devices licensed under the Mormaii brand and the associated app have the sole purpose of supporting the monitoring of wellness and physical activity, and must not be used as a substitute for diagnosis, treatment or medical follow-up." Original: "Os dispositivos licenciados da marca Mormaii e o aplicativo associado têm como único propósito auxiliar no monitoramento de bem-estar e atividades físicas, não devendo ser utilizados como substitutos de diagnóstico, tratamento ou acompanhamento médico."
5. Privacy Policy, opening section.	"our app is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, cure or prevention of diseases. 6. App Store description, first paragraph, before anything else.	"The app performs no measurement: it only displays what the accessory recorded, and the values are personal estimates with no clinical accuracy (...) see a doctor before making any decision regarding your health." Original: "O aplicativo não realiza medição alguma: ele apenas exibe o que o acessório registrou, e os valores são estimativas de uso pessoal, sem precisão clínica (...) consulte um médico antes de tomar qualquer decisão relacionada à sua saúde."

Distribution

The app and the wearables are distributed exclusively in Brazil, and the app is listed in the Brazilian storefront only.

The documents themselves

The five legal documents are in Portuguese, which is the language of the market where the product is sold, and are the same texts shown inside the app: Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Liability Limitation - Non-Medical Use, LGPD Consent and Cookie Policy.
